Before registering an LLC in the Isle of Man, it is imperative that you are aware of the legal requirements which you must adhere to, so you can successfully and safely register your offshore LLC. At Coddan, we take every step and measure for you to ensure this process is done correctly and is legally sound.
Let's take a look at some of the legal requirements to register an LLC in the Isle of Man.
The first step that you should be aware of is that a Manx LLC is legally required to consist of two members and a locally authorised agent. In addition to this, any LLC that is registered in the Isle of Man must also have a legally registered office that is maintained on the island for the duration of the existence of your offshore LLC. With all this in hand and after filing the appropriate documents to the Companies Registry of the Isle of Man, the process can move along swiftly.
The incorporation process will only move swiftly, however, if the naming of the LLC adheres to the legal requirements of the Companies Registry. For example, you cannot name your LLC in a way that makes it appear to be royal, nor can you closely copy or imitate an existing company. You may even require evidence for certain naming conditions, such as if you were to call your business "global" and sometimes licences are required.
