Your partnership name must end with the words 'Limited Liability Partnership', or its abbreviation 'LLP', or the Welsh language equivalents: 'Partneriaeth Atebolrwydd Cyfyngedig', or 'PAC'.

For example: ABC Limited Liability Partnership, ABC LLP, ABC Partneriaeth Atebolrwydd Cyfyngedig, ABC PAC.

These words (Limited Liability Partnership, LLP, Partneriaeth Atebolrwydd Cyfyngedig, PAC) must not occur in any other place within the name of your partnership.

The standard capital contribution on the partnership' registration is £1,000, this is divided into 1,000 membership certificates valued at £1.00 each.

It is not required to have all of the capital issued, but a minimum of two membership certificates must be issued.

If you choose the standard capital option, two membership certificates valued at £1.00 each will be issued at the time of registration.

The partnership may be registered with authorised capital that is greater than the amount it needs as initial working capital.

After satisfying that need, it will therefore have a number of un-issued membership certificates that the board can keep in reserve for future issues.
