The “Dormant Accounts™” package is a focused accounts preparation and filing service for an eligible dormant LLP whose accounting period, transactions and records support dormant-accounts treatment and whose designated members can confirm the relevant facts and approve the accounts.

The package provides the following professional work:

1. Review of the supplied dormant declaration and accounting records.
2. Assessment of whether the supplied information supports dormant-accounts treatment for the accepted accounting period.
3. Preparation of dormant LLP accounts for one accepted accounting period.
4. Allocation of responsibility for the accepted accounts preparation work.
5. Coordination of designated-member review, approval and signing of the accounts.
6. Coordination of the Companies House filing for the prepared accounts.

About the dormant LLP accounts service

Coddan will review the dormant declaration and accounting records supplied for the LLP and prepare the accounts for the accepted accounting period where the information supports dormant-accounts treatment.

The service includes coordination of the designated members’ approval and signing of the prepared accounts and the Companies House filing. Designated members remain responsible for confirming the LLP’s dormant status and relevant facts, approving the accounts and providing the required information and records.

The professional outcome is eligible dormant LLP accounts prepared and filed for one accounting period. The preparer retains professional responsibility for the accepted accounts preparation work. Companies House determines whether the filing is accepted.

When your dormant LLP accounts will be prepared

Coddan will prepare the accounts once the required dormant declaration and accounting records have been supplied and are usable for review, and the LLP’s circumstances support dormant-accounts treatment for the accepted accounting period.

The fixed professional fee is £199 + VAT. No Companies House filing fee is recorded for standard LLP accounts. The package covers one accepted accounting period and is a one-off service with no automatic renewal.

The service covers preparation and coordination of the filing for eligible dormant LLP accounts. Bookkeeping, tax returns, record reconstruction, overdue accounting periods, restoration, audit and non-dormant accounts are separate services. If the LLP traded or had material transactions, a Micro/Small Accounts or Active Accounts service may be more appropriate.

About the information required for your dormant LLP accounts

The service depends on complete and accurate disclosure of the LLP’s activities during the relevant accounting period, together with the dormant declaration and usable supporting accounting records. Designated members must confirm the relevant facts and approve and sign the accounts.

If the LLP traded, had material transactions, has missing accounting records or has tax issues, the work may fall outside the fixed scope of this package. Bookkeeping, tax returns, record reconstruction, overdue periods, restoration, audit and the preparation of non-dormant accounts are separate unless expressly accepted and quoted.

The package covers one accepted accounting period and does not guarantee that Companies House will accept the filing. Companies House retains responsibility for its filing decision, and any work required beyond the agreed dormant-accounts scope must be assessed and agreed separately.
