Coddan's Updated Company Formation Prices and Companies House Fees effective from February 2026
So what's changing?
Many Companies House filing fees — including online company registration and the annual confirmation statement — will increase. At the same time, fees for selected services such as voluntary company strike-off and administrative company restoration will be reduced, making it more cost-effective to close a dormant or non-trading company or restore a company that has been struck off for non-compliance.
This marks the second major increase in Companies House fees since the introduction of the ECCT Act.
The first increase, which took effect on 1 May 2024, saw government fees for electronic company incorporation rise by 500%, from £10.00 to £50.00. The upcoming price changes will increase Companies House fees further, with the cost of registering a limited company or limited liability partnership (LLP) in the UK rising to:
- £100.00 for online company formation using approved software (including services provided by company formation agents such as Coddan)
- £124.00 for paper company registration submitted to Companies House
- £156.00 for fast-track same-day company incorporation
