Companies house is shutting down for essential maintenance

Companies House Web Incorporation will be closed for essential maintenance.

Ahead of the implementation of the first stage of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act that come into force from the 4th of March 2024, Companies House, the UK Registrar of Companies is planning an essential service maintenance that will run from 5pm on Friday – the 1st of March 2024 – all the way till 9am on Monday – the 4th of March 2024.

What does it mean in practical terms? Companies House’s Web Incorporation System essential maintenance through this important period means that any enquiries for new companies registration, filing changes of directors and shareholders of readymade companies, as well as any other essential company filings (including annual confirmation statements and dormant company accounts) will be suspended for the period of essential maintenance.

Services are set to return to normal from 9am on Monday the 4th of March, however due to this essential maintenance and suspension of all new incorporations and company filings through the Companies House Web Incorporation and Webfiling Systems, we expect a back log of filings which can affect our standard processing times.
