As of this morning, Companies House has re-opened their gateway access to all core services, and started processing filings submitted since Wednesday 10 June. They are currently processing time-critical filings as a priority with remaining filings (new incorporations, name changes, web-filing submissions, etc) are currently in their system in a queue and it may take several days to process all backlog filings.
Our system is working as normal and we will be processing all submissions through the Companies House gateway and uploading your registration documents as soon as available from Companies House. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
As of 9:00am UK time Companies House's system was still down for all the core services They continue to run tests, hoping to launch the system back online after 3pm later today, with all services fully restored tomorrow (Wednesday 17.06.2026) from 9:00am UK time. We will keep you updated on any further developments.
According to an official update published by Companies House, the outage is the result of an internal system problem and is not related to a cyber attack. The organisation said its technical teams and suppliers are working to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
The disruption has led to the temporary closure of several important services, including:
These services were taken offline from the evening of 12 June and remained unavailable into 15 June while essential maintenance work was carried out.
Companies House has warned that filings submitted during the disruption may not appear immediately on the public register. While documents continue to be received, they are being queued for processing until the underlying system issue is resolved. The agency has also confirmed that same-day filings cannot currently be processed.
Businesses are advised that Companies House will retain a record of the date and time documents were received, even if publication on the register is delayed.
Despite the outage, several online services remain operational, including:
Companies House has encouraged customers to use these alternative channels where possible until full service is restored.
Recognising the potential impact on statutory filing obligations, Companies House has stated that businesses affected by the service closure should submit their filings as soon as services become available again.
The organisation has also advised companies to keep records, screenshots and timestamps showing attempts to access unavailable services. This evidence may be used when appealing any late filing penalties that arise as a direct result of the outage.
In their latest update, Companies House has advised that they are aiming to have systems restored and fully re-opened by tomorrow – June 16th 2026, if not sooner.
We would continue to monitor and provide you with the updates as and when possible. But in a meantime, if you have any questions regarding the status of your order or Companies House’s current processing times, feel free to reach out to our team by phone or email.
