Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCT Act)

At the end of last year, on the October 26, a very important piece of new legislation has received the royal accent and became law. This Act becomes an important tool at strengthening role of the Companies House (UK Registrar of Companies) at battling the economic crime, preventing fraud, and ensuring corporate transparency.

It will be some time before the act will be fully implemented and will require a several secondary legislations to be passed but there are the main important changes will be coming in force as early as March 2024.
