Essential Update: Companies House Fees Set to Rise from February 2026 to Fund New Transparency and Anti-Crime Measures.

The UK's business landscape is set for a change, as Companies House has announced an increase in several key fees, effective from 1 February 2026. The adjustments to charges for services like company formation and the filing of annual confirmation statements are being introduced to fund a significant modernisation drive and bolster the fight against economic crime.

Starting from the 18th of November 2025, Directors of Limited Companies, Members of Partnerships and Individuals with Significant Control over UK businesses (PSCs) will be mandated by law to verify their identity for Companies House. This new requirement is part of Companies House’s digital transformation process, aimed at creating a more trusted and transparent business environment and also combat fraud.

Our office will be closed on the 25th of August for August Bank Holiday. Orders processing times will be affected.

Companies House has confirmed that requirements for mandatory Identity Verification first announced by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 will come in force from 18 November 2025.
